ABOUT BENJAMIN HOWIE

Ben graduated top of his class from Curtin University, Western Australia with a Bachelor of Civil and Construction Engineering.
After a brief period as a project coordinator in the oil and gas industry in Western Australia, Ben shifted to London and began work at Robert Bird Group. Beginning work on the £400m Nova Victoria retail and office precinct, he very quickly progressed to become the project lead for the London Royal Opera House ‘Open Up’ redevelopment. Following completion of his time working in the UK, Ben relocated to Melbourne in 2016 and began work on a broad range of retail, residential and commercial projects.
Ben joined Hera Engineering in 2021 as a Principal Engineer. His diverse career has enabled him to develop a broad range of design skills and he has ample experience in the design of PT&RC concrete structures, large- and small-scale steel and composite steel construction as well as timber and aluminium design.
