Hera Engineering was proud to be chosen as the structural engineering consultant for this 34 storey tower which provides a stylish addition to the rapidly-evolving Northbridge precinct.

The architectural vision to create a small footprint “pencil” tower created exciting structural challenges for our experience team. The small floor plate area afforded little space for structural elements, and the core dimensions needed to be kept to an absolute minimum. With such a slender structure, limiting the lateral drift while maintaining economy in materials was a great challenge. Our innovative approach to the design allowed our team to come up with a smart and economical solution allowing the architectural vision to become a reality and at the same time maintaining the expected budget.
