The Village, Brightwater

Completed in August 2022, the Brightwater Inglewood project represents a significant project for us at Hera Engineering. This intergenerational campus, recognized for its excellence in construction with the Master Builders 2023 ‘Excellence in Construction Award’ for Best Aged Care Building in the $20-50 Million category, encompasses a new paradigm in aged care and corporate integration. The project, valued at $40 million, is located on a 1.51-hectare site within the vibrant community of Inglewood, Western Australia, adjacent to the Mount Lawley Golf Club and near the existing Brightwater ‘The Village’ dementia-specific site.

Our structural engineering expertise contributed to the development of a three-story structure that includes a 128-bed Residential Aged Care (RAC) facility, spanning two levels designed to evoke a sense of home and comfort. The ground floor houses Brightwater’s 150-person Head Office and Community Link

This project highlights our ability to integrate complex structural engineering principles with aesthetic and functional requirements, delivering a facility that not only meets but exceeds the needs of its users. Our collaborative effort with the design team and our client from the early stages ensured that the most cost-effective design solutions were identified and implemented, resulting in a building that is both innovative and responsive to the needs of the aging population.
