ISO 9001 ACCREDITATION
At Hera, quality assurance is embedded in every stage of our project delivery. In engineering, the consequences of error can be significant, which is why we take a rigorous, risk-based approach to design, documentation and review.
Hera operates an ISO 9001:2015 accredited Quality Management System (QMS), independently audited across our functions, services, processes and project delivery. For us, ISO 9001 accreditation is not simply a compliance requirement; it reflects our commitment to due diligence, accountability and continuous improvement.
Our QMS provides a structured framework for project management, engineering, drafting, document control, Safety in Design, auditing and non-conformance management. Senior management is actively involved in both project oversight and the formal QA process, with all major drawing issues subject to mandatory engineering and drafting reviews, compliance checks and verification against project requirements prior to issue.
Hera also maintains an independent internal peer review function through our National Technical Manager, who reviews design engineering and modelling across projects. This provides an additional level of technical scrutiny, helping to challenge assumptions, identify opportunities and refine our designs throughout the project lifecycle.
Our quality systems are continually reviewed and improved, with a strong focus on risk management and the principle of ALARP — As Low As Reasonably Practicable. This disciplined approach allows us to deliver clear, coordinated and reliable documentation while reducing project risk and safeguarding design quality, client satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
