Snowy Hydro 2.0, located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, is currently under construction and represents the largest infrastructure project undertaken in Australia to date, with a project value of approximately $12 billion. We have been engaged by WeBuild to provide Temporary Works and Construction Engineering services for this significant hydroelectric development. Our involvement includes conducting inspections to assess the lifecycle performance of temporary structures used during construction, ensuring structural adequacy and supporting decision-making for their ongoing use or decommissioning. In addition to inspection services, we are delivering a range of construction and value engineering solutions, specifically aimed at reducing material use, lowering overall costs, and increasing both the speed and safety of construction activities. Our role is critical in supporting the project’s construction program, where efficiency and safety are paramount given the scale and complexity of the undertaking. Snowy Hydro 2.0 is set to become a major contributor to Australia’s renewable energy supply, generating electricity from a sustainable and green source, thus aligning with long-term national environmental goals.
