Our engagement with the WA Museum in Perth showcases our commitment to excellence in facade engineering. Over the course of nearly three years, our team has dedicated itself to the intricate design of every facade element, encompassing secondary steel and a variety of facade components such as glass, solid elements, and screens. This project, carried out in collaboration with international architects OMA and Hassell, and built by Multiplex, represents a significant endeavor not just in its scale but in its complexity, involving both innovative new constructions and the thoughtful integration into heritage structures.
The WA Museum stands as a remarkable example of how complex internal facade design can be harmoniously integrated with external aesthetics to create a cohesive and visually stunning whole. Our work has been instrumental in bringing to life the architects’ vision, ensuring that the scaffolding’s removal progressively revealed the beauty of the facade, a testament to the detailed and careful planning involved.
This project, valued at $400 million and funded by the state government, is recognized as one of the most significant museum redevelopments worldwide, standing at the forefront of engineering innovation, sustainability, and flexibility. Our role in this landmark project underlines our expertise and our proud contribution to creating a civic precinct that resonates with the uniqueness of Western Australia, delivering on our promise of technical excellence and innovative solutions in facade engineering.
