Our involvement in the Rydges Perth Kings Square project represents a landmark achievement in structural engineering, particularly in the construction of Australia’s tallest fully pre-fabricated hotel and the southern hemisphere’s tallest modular structure. Situated at the heart of Perth, this hotel merges convenience with modern luxury, designed to cater to both leisure and business travelers. Its strategic location ensures easy access to Perth’s central business district and RAC Arena, making it an ideal choice for guests. The hotel’s facilities, including a state-of-the-art gym, off-site paid parking, and versatile meeting spaces, underscore our commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
A key aspect of our contribution was the re-engineering of the hotel’s foundation. In collaboration with the geotechnical engineer, we successfully re-engineered the foundation by eliminating half of the originally specified pilings. This innovative approach was made possible through our advanced analysis techniques, which allowed us to not only ensure structural integrity but also generate significant savings in both time and costs for the project.
This achievement underscores our expertise in leveraging cutting-edge engineering solutions to address complex construction challenges. By optimizing the foundation design, we not only enhanced the project’s economic efficiency but also set a new benchmark for sustainable construction practices in the industry. Our work on Rydges Perth Kings Square exemplifies our dedication to innovation and our ability to deliver projects that are both technically sophisticated and economically advantageous.
