With Noma Apartments in Mosman Park, Perth, we’ve demonstrated our expertise in structural engineering, post-tensioned design, and temporary works. This residential development, now completed, comprises a multi-storey building utilizing reinforced concrete with a steel roof. Our engagement from the project’s inception allowed us to work intimately with Plus Architecture, facilitating a development approach that integrated our structural engineering insights directly into the architectural planning and layout. This collaboration aimed at optimizing cost-effectiveness and labor efficiency without compromising on design quality.
Our role extended to the execution of the full post-tension design and overseeing the temporary works, ensuring both precision and safety throughout the construction phase. Noma Apartments, featuring 53 residences atop three commercial tenancies, stands as a testament to modern living merged with timeless elegance. The architectural design pays homage to the area’s rich history through its sweeping curves and archways, while the strategic location offers the dual advantage of proximity to both the river and the sea, setting a new benchmark for higher density living in Perth.
The project’s success is further underscored by its accolades, including the 2023 Property Council of Australia WA Property Awards for Best Residential Development and multiple commendations for design and luxury from the UDIA WA Awards and AAA WA Apartment Awards for Excellence, respectively. Environmental sustainability was a core focus, with the development aiming for a 4-star Green Star performance level, featuring photovoltaic solar panels for clean energy generation.
