In alignment with our ongoing commitment to enhancing infrastructure and service offerings at Perth Airport, we are the structural engineer for the new Perth Airport Hotel, a strategic addition to the airport’s portfolio. This development, a first of its kind at the airport, represents a significant step in their expansion plan, aimed at accommodating the growing needs of travellers and visitors.

Our role in this pivotal project encompasses the provision of structural engineering services for a 6-storey hotel structure designed to offer 250 rooms across eight floors. The hotel’s strategic location next to Metronet’s Airport Central Station ensures a convenient 12-minute train journey to the CBD, highlighting our focus on accessibility and ease for all passengers​​​​.

Incorporating post-tensioned slabs and in-situ core walls into the design, our engineering approach is tailored to meet the unique demands of constructing within an airport’s complex environment. The coordination of the hotel’s foundations has to be carefully coordinated with the existing network of in-ground services.
As part of the broader Perth Airport expansion plan, which includes the construction of a third runway, a new international pier, and commercial office spaces, the Perth Airport Hotel is set to enhance the airport’s $1.2 billion property portfolio.
