Queen’s Wharf Towers 5 & 6 represents the final stage of the monumental Queen’s Wharf development, one of the largest mixed-use developments in Australia. Tower 5, a striking 75-story skyscraper designed by the renowned Cottee Parker Architects, is set to redefine Brisbane’s skyline with its innovative architecture and sustainable design.
Our firm, Hera Engineering, is proud to provide structural engineering services for this iconic project. We are employing advanced construction techniques to ensure the efficient and sustainable development of the tower. The structure will be constructed using post-tensioned slabs, a method that allows for thinner floor slabs, reduced material usage, and faster construction times. Additionally, we will utilize a full jump form system that simultaneously extrudes all vertical elements, a process we have extensive experience with. This clever system has been successfully implemented in many towers we have designed, and it will dramatically reduce the floor construction cycle for Tower 5.
Our team is dedicated to delivering smart, sustainable solutions that minimize the environmental impact of the structure. By optimizing the use of materials and incorporating cutting-edge design techniques, we aim to reduce the permanent embodied energy of the building, ensuring that Queen’s Wharf Tower 5 not only stands as a testament to architectural excellence but also as a beacon of environmental responsibility.
As the final piece of the Queen’s Wharf development, Tower 5 & 6 will play a crucial role in completing this transformative urban renewal project, setting new standards for sustainable development in Australia’s construction industry.
