Palmera Residences is a landmark $1 billion residential development on the Gold Coast, developed by Central Equity Limited, designed by Marchese Partners and delivered by Multiplex. Rising 51 levels and approximately 178 metres, the tower will comprise 347 residences and become the tallest building in Northcliffe.
The development features a sculptural six-level podium topped by approximately 1,600 sqm of resort-style amenity overlooking Garfield Terrace. The residential offering is complemented by extensive outdoor and wellness facilities, including landscaped areas, swimming pools, cabanas, BBQ facilities, a gym and resident lounge.
Hera Engineering is providing a comprehensive range of structural engineering services for the development. Our scope encompasses the primary reinforced concrete and structural steel systems, post-tensioned floor design, precast concrete elements, structural and façade support steelwork, connections and temporary construction engineering.
The structural design has been developed to respond to the demands of a slender high-rise residential tower while supporting the architectural form, efficient construction sequencing and integration of the podium and amenity levels. Hera’s involvement extends through the construction phase, working closely with Multiplex and the wider project team to deliver coordinated and practical structural solutions for this significant addition to the Gold Coast skyline.
Palmera continues Hera Engineering’s longstanding relationship with Multiplex, built across more than a decade of collaboration on major high-rise and complex developments throughout Australia.
