Two large temporary pits were required by Keller Foundations to be installed either side of an existing railway, this allowed access to install a pipe jacking system in one pit whilst the other served the purpose of retrieval. Hera Engineering provided the capping beam and ground slab design initially, extending to provide a header beam design supporting some contiguous piles. Overall pit height was 8m.
The project is has now been completed and shows some of the temporary works systems to which Hera Engineering can provide services.
