Construction has now commenced on the Public Transport Operations Control Centre, a new state-of-the-art control centre in East Perth that will house the infrastructure and personnel required to manage the day-to-day operations of Perth’s public transport network, which is set to expand by more than 72 kilometres in the coming years as various METRONET projects become operational.
Hera Engineering was involved in the initial tender of the project, where value engineering opportunities were developed. From these alternatives a more economical design was proposed by ADCO, allowing them to be more competitive with their pricing. This design has been developed into construction drawings, including all post-tensioning, blast resistance design and temporary works, and the level one formwork is now starting to take shape.
We look forward to working alongside the teams at @adcoconstructions, @architectusau and the Public Transport Authority on this important WA government infrastructure project.
