Montreal Commons

Situated in the DevelopmentWA East Village at Knutsford precinct in Fremantle WA, Montreal Commons is a development of 39 apartments, comprising of five storeys, basement, and a café. This project, worth $20 million, is designed by Hillam Architects and developed by OP Properties, and it is set to be among the first carbon neutral apartment buildings in Australia.

Hera Engineering, with a core value of sustainable design, has been selected to offer structural engineering services for this innovative carbon-neutral apartment complex in Fremantle. The structure is a combination of reinforced concrete and masonry load-bearing, and the suspended slabs are built using traditional reinforced concrete.

We are thrilled to be part of this project, which represents the first residential carbon neutral development in Western Australia. This milestone is a testament to the project’s dedication to promoting sustainable living and reducing carbon emissions.
