Structural Engineering
2016
As structural engineers, our engagement with the Butler Town Center project in Perth, Western Australia, has been a significant undertaking. This project, valued at $25 million, presented us with a unique opportunity to work on a complex structural steel and precast structure, featuring intricate canopies and large internal spans, designed to serve the evolving needs of Perth’s northern suburbs. The roof of the structure was particularly challenging, designed to support very heavy mechanical platforms, showcasing our team’s ability to deliver on complex engineering solutions.
Butler Town Center is strategically located at the northern terminus of the Perth train network, serving as a convenient hub for food, merchandise retail, and casual dining within a contemporary coastal center. This endeavor has contributed significantly to the retail landscape of Perth’s northern suburbs.
Our role in the project underscores our commitment to innovation and excellence in structural engineering. Working closely with the client group, including Woolworths/Fabcot, and in collaboration with Brown Falconer and BGC Construction, we were instrumental in designing and realizing a space that enhances community engagement and meets the commercial needs of the area.
The Butler Town Center project exemplifies our dedication to delivering engineering solutions that are not only structurally sound and efficient but also contribute to the aesthetic and functional quality of the built environment.
