About GLENN PARNHAM

Glenn Parnham is a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer at Hera Engineering, with almost eight years of experience. He specialises in delivering structural services for the infrastructure, logistics, and marine sectors, and civil services for the commercial buildings sector. Glenn manages civil and structural design teams, leading projects that require significant multi-disciplinary coordination. He is adept at delivering complex temporary works to facilitate safe and efficient construction. He holds an Honours degree in Civil & Construction Engineering.

Throughout his career, Glenn has taken on significant roles such as the lead structural engineer for Lakelands Station and PTA Design/Construction SRE, the NEWest Alliance temporary works packages, Wollonggabba Canopy, Toyota Distribution Centre, PTOCC, and Pluto 2 Seashore Crossing. He has also served as the lead civil engineer for Clayton Apartments and Bethanie Fremantle. His core skills include structural design, facade structural design, and both permanent and temporary works, ranging from steelwork and operational cranes to complex steelwork for temporary structures. Additionally, Glenn is experienced in condition assessments, maritime structures, and civil design, including stormwater management systems and sewer modifications.

Outside of his professional role, Glenn enjoys fitness, hiking, and space exploration. He actively promotes physical activity among engineers to enhance mental health and regularly participates in industry functions such as Tree of Knowledge, PIANC, and Engineers Australia. Glenn is also dedicated to mentoring emerging engineers. His vision is to continue promoting sustainable engineering practices, ensuring that his work not only meets current standards but also contributes positively to the environment and the community.
