Construction is progressing at the Dalyellup Community Housing Project within the Bethanie Dalyellup precinct, where 50 new social and affordable rental apartments for people aged over 55 are scheduled for completion in 2027.
Hera Engineering is providing both civil and structural engineering services for the development, supporting Bethanie’s vision for accessible, energy-efficient housing. The apartments are being designed to achieve a Silver Livable Housing standard and a 7-Star NatHERS rating.
Recent works have included the installation of the site’s underground stormwater management infrastructure, including infiltration tanks designed to capture and manage stormwater runoff at source. These systems form an important part of the civil design, reducing reliance on downstream drainage networks while supporting sustainable water management outcomes across the development.
While largely unseen once construction is complete, this infrastructure plays a critical role in the long-term performance, resilience and functionality of the site.
