Construction continues steadily on Curtin University’s upgrades to the John Curtin Gallery and John Curtin Prime Ministerial Library, with the project recently reaching a key milestone: the successful completion of the raft slab pour.
The raft foundation forms a critical part of the structural system, providing the base for the next stage of construction. Careful planning, coordination and execution by the project team ensured the pour was completed efficiently and safely.
The site team did a great job undertaking a challenging excavation adjacent to existing building foundations where grout injection was carried out to ensure these foundations are not undermined
Hera is supporting the project with structural engineering services for the extensions, new entrance area, and broader renovation works, ensuring the upgraded facilities are better equipped to meet Curtin University ‘s evolving needs. We appreciate the efforts of all consultants, contractors and site personnel involved in reaching this milestone and look forward to seeing the structure continue to take shape in the coming months.
Stay tuned for further project updates as works progress on site.
