Demolition has started for the new Woden Valley precinct developed by Geocon Group. With the final DA approved in August, construction works will be starting really soon.
The project, designed by the award-winning Fender Katsalidis and Oculus Urban Design, is set to host a revitalised residential and mixed-use community precinct, slated for completion in 2024. By the time, this will be Woden’s most premium high-density address, with almost 800 apartments, a hotel, cafes, restaurants and a supermarket all on site.
“This landmark mixed-use development will energise the town centre, creating new jobs and lifestyle opportunities while supporting existing businesses and community groups” Geocon Managing Director Nick Georgalis says.
Hera Engineering has been appointed to undertake all the structural engineering including post-tensioning, temporary works and value engineering. Out team has been working closely with the architect to deliver the most efficient and cost-saving structure possible. This is our 4th major project with Geocon cementing a very strong relationship based on providing cost effective solution and a very personal approach to the design delivery.
Hera and Geocon cultures are very aligned and this is one of the key factors for the success of both businesses.
We are really proud of the continuous and successful collaboration with Geocon Group. Great culture is one of our strong point and we based our success on this/
We look forward to an epic delivery.
