Onsite works ramp up as Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development progresses

Onsite works ramp up as Queen’s Wharf Brisbane development progresses, with construction workers reaching a peak of more than 2000 in 2021.

This $3.6 billion project features an Integrated Resort due to open in 2023, with over 1000 premium hotel rooms, 2000 residential apartments, a 1000 seat ballroom, a sky deck with 360-degree views over the river and city and a new pedestrian bridge. The project will also deliver public realm precincts to the Brisbane Community along 800m of riverfront including upgraded pedestrian and bikeways, landscaped parkland, wharfs, cafés and restaurants.

Connecting Queen Street Mall and the CBD with South bank, Queens Wharf will provide 2,000 jobs during peak construction, 8,000 jobs once operational and see 1.39m additional visitors annually, making use of previously unutilised river front space and improving Brisbane’s offering as an international tourism destination.

Hera Engineering is proud to be working for Multiplex on the iconic project after the extremely successful delivery of both the commercial and residential tower at 300 George street.

Our involvement includes the post-tension design of the Tower 4 slabs, various temporary works and all the podium secondary steelwork.
