About Ryan Robinson
Ryan Robinson is the National BIM Manager at Hera Engineering. With 16 years of experience, Ryan is responsible for overseeing the drafting department and BIM documentation and modelling across Hera’s offices. His role involves coordinating tasks to ensure efficient workflows, maintaining project timelines and budgets, and conducting regular audits to uphold high-quality standards. He also leads the development and implementation of BIM strategies and standards for different offices and projects. Ryan is dedicated to communicating and coordinating with various stakeholders to implement innovative BIM solutions that enhance project outcomes. He holds a Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering.
In his professional career, Ryan has managed BIM teams and led numerous projects, including several landmark and award-winning ventures across Australia. His portfolio includes high-rise residential and commercial towers, multi-level retail destinations, facades, bridges, public transport train stations, control centres, heavy industry rail yard workshops, mine sites, and ports. Ryan’s core skills lie in project management, designing and implementing company procedures, and devising innovative solutions for BIM project requirements. His experience in auditing and maintaining documentation standards and procedures further highlights his expertise in ensuring project quality.
Outside of his professional life, Ryan is passionate about kitesurfing, golf, AFL, and drumming. He aims to foster integration and collaboration across all departments and offices, driving technology adoption and innovation while ensuring data management and sustainability. By standardising practices and investing in continuous training, Ryan’s vision is to deliver high-quality projects that exceed client expectations and position Hera Engineering as a leader in the BIM community.
