Somerset at Burswood Point has begun to take shape as construction progresses on the riverside residences.
Following the successful completion of the basement structure, the project has reached another significant milestone and is now transitioning into the next phase of vertical construction. In the coming weeks, works will focus on the installation of suspended slabs and verticals, marking the start of the two residential towers emerging above ground level.
The development comprises two towers of 26 and 18 storeys and features post-tensioned floor slabs, providing an efficient structural solution while supporting the architectural vision for the project.
This site presented several challenges, including complex geotechnical conditions. In response, Hera developed an innovative monopile solution that eliminated the need for pile caps throughout the project, streamlining the inground works and enabling the builder, Golden Sedayu Construction (GSC) to progress out of the ground efficiently.
Through careful structural planning during the early concept phase, Hera also removed the need for transfer structures throughout the development. This approach has significantly reduced both construction costs and programme duration, while simplifying the overall structural system and improving buildability.
As construction continues to gain momentum, the development is steadily transforming the riverside site into a vibrant residential destination.
